Sassy Senior Shoot…

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

Ariel and I had so much fun playing around during her Senior Shoot last week… literally!

We did some in-studio and some on-location. We went to a local park and had a great time messing around on their jungle gym, slides, and such.

Alia – licious!

Gorgeous Alia.

We had so much fun shooting at the studio and at the park! She loves Snowboarding (so DO I), so she brought her board with and we did some totally awesome shots with it! Also, she had brought a homecoming gown for some shots… so cool! I love Senior Gals bringing some old formal dress. You are never going to wear it again, so let’s kinda do a Trash-the-Dress sesh and have some fun with it! Right?!? … yeah, I’m right:)

Stephan&Rachel – Downtown Milwaukee – 8.23.09

Such an awesome couple… I just love them to death! They are so sweet & so much fun to shoot…

Stephan & Rachel celebrated their marriage this past Sunday at Coast, downtown Milwaukee. What a beautiful sunny day with the weirdest, but GREATEST cool breeze! The perfect August day in my opinion!

Enjoy the Sneak Peeks…

An amazing First Look in front of the historic Milwaukee Art Museum
I loved these shots we got inside of a strange waterfall… we were definitely tresspassing, but come on- anything for the shot, right? haha… we were just finishing up with the waterfall and its surrounding area, when, yup… a security guard came out and booted us out.Awww… daddy giving his little girl away.
Yeah…

What an awesome way to tell your guests where they are seated. These were faux frosted lit vases…. so cool and unique! The bride & groom wrote meaningful letters to their whole bridal party, readers, and other important extras that made their wedding day perfect. It was very touching to see everyone reading their letters at the reception.

Agh… Amazing! We made a beautiful Photo GuestBook for the couple filled with engagement portraits. This was such an amazing way for their guests to see Stephan & Rachel in a totally different light… casual and fabulous!

hehe… Loved getting this shot! Gotta love the iPhones. I think Stephan got a lil’ worried when all of a sudden I was like, ‘Give me your phone’ and then started messing with it… hehe

Beautiful cake!
OMGOSH. OMGOSH. OMGOSH. This was sooo… cool… Mashed Potato Martini Station!!!!!!! So, you could build your own loaded mashed potato creation in a martini glass!
First dance= pure awesomeness! Why??? They played a Kings of Leon song… yeah… I know… how awesome!

Thx Stephan & Rachel.
It was great being a part of your wedding day.

Lk. Geneva – Brian & Jessie – 15 Aug 09

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

AAAAAwwwghhh… I am so freaking obsessed with Birdcage veils… it’s insane!

I had the great honour of photographing Brian & Jessie’s wedding last weekend in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

(Sam just brought to my attention: this is the third ‘Brian’ in a row) – scroll around- see for yourself :)

Love it!

This was hilarious… I had this ‘vision’ – as usual- for this shot. I had my usual wedding outfit of all black with a skirt & leggings. Well to pull this off, I took off my skirt for the bride to lay on… haha… BRIDES that’s how much I care about you – I care about you so much, I’ll start taking clothes off… haha. Perfect! Totally worth it!

22 person wedding party…. and totally crazy-fun!
Thanks guys… we had an amazing tim being a part of your day.

awww… Rayna…

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Rayna had a good ‘ol time at her 6 mos. session… seriously, she is one client that I am like, ‘Where is the time going? She is growing up too quickly.’ I can’t beleive she is already sitting up. And from mommy’s Status Updates she is already climbing around and standing up against things… Crazy.

Well, we had a smiley blast shootin’ this session…

Enjoy.
I couldn’t wait to blog one of the photos from this series…

Awhile back I had mobile uploaded a crazy-insane pic of me attempting to clean my shoe closet. It was a mess and you literally could not see the floor… only stilettos and crazy 90’s footwear that I just am not ready to let go of yet. hahaha…

Rayna’s mom had a great idea to surround her in all of her size 2 shoes because of this old pic of my shoes… absolutely hilarious!

Awww….

Thanks guys!

Hot off the presses…. for real… our new tee shirts and bags!!!
So we decided to try something new and lil’ different… everyone’s gotta wear shirts and everyone SHOULD be using their own reusable bags for everything. So we thought we would start carrying some of these awesome products at the studio…
We are giving you the at-cost price. In return you are helping out mother nature, wearing a tee (which is always good), & spreading the word of how kick ass Gloss is!
tees $10
bags $5
Holla…
(I couldn’t wait to get a real model in the studio… haha)

cool, stylin’ Courtney…

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

I have shot Courtney prior to this session for a family shoot… she had such a blast, she came back for more for her Senior Session. Courtney and her mom are the coolest peeps I have met! They are so down-to-earth, and honestly, they are the best of friends. It is the cutest thing EVER!

Stella & Striker’s Playdate…

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Sam and I had so much fun last Sunday at our house for a playdate with Striker, and his parents Jon&Anne.

This was Stella’s first playdate with another doggie. I think she did very well… especially for how big Striker is. But Striker is such a loveable, easy-going dog to begin with, it was the perfect choice for introducing Stella to other animals.

Ohhh… Stella is getting so big! I keep telling her, ‘Stop growing’ … but she doesn’t listen:(

Scroll down the blog to see Stella’s 8 week old studio shoot. She is 12 weeks now.

Enjoy.

And thanks Jon&Anne for teaching Stella & us so much that day.
Awww… and Stella absolutely pooped after a very long day of playing with Striker:)

Brian & Amy – Devil’s Head Resort – 08.08.09

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

We had an amazing day shooting Brian & Amy’s beautiful wedding in Merrimac, Wisc. at the Devil’s Head Ski Resort. It was so great having this amazing environment to work with of bare ski hills and surrounding areas of farm land.

Enjoy.

Love this shot!

Awesome moment caught. hehe.

I love shooting environments that are not common and are kind of shocking places for a Bride & Groom to be. We loved shooting at this nearby farm… they had some crazy-fun stuff in the yard, that just added to all the excitment!

These kids were goin’ crazy on the dance floor! They were lovin’ every second and sound the DJ had!

Awww… and one of my favorites from the evening. Beautifully moon-lit photo (not, not really moon-lit, but work with me here… it’s telling this beautiful story) haha.
